Job interview at Nikkei-run firm

Today I go to visit a small business in Los Angeles County that is run by a Japanese American couple. I have never worked for a business run by JAs before. The last time I worked with a Nikkei was over 30 years ago. I am not sure if they are nisei, sansei, yonsei. or shin-nisei, etc. But I think the interview will be culturally unique. They see my last name and they may be surprised by my appearance.

They hired me, low pay, but I need to learn a lot of things before asking for more money. THey are struggling selling Handicapped signs and I am trying to bring electrical sign business in.

I work reception, design and CAD/CAM too. Looks like I gotta sell signs, too. .

It does seem you have the nick knack for working electronics from what i can tell. And thats sure a lot of branches yer offered.
