my face gets really pink after one beer and after 4 or so it gets really red. who else? is it a hafu thing?

happens to me.
especially when drinking too often. eg. the first day i can basically drink as much as i want without getting red. the following day i get red after a while. :/
I definately get red samurai face depicted on my Uncle Ryoryu's kites.

I do turn red (flush) and if I drink something that I am allergic to I actually turn a shade of purple and have some trouble breathing, that is probably why I don't really drink.
Oh, and I don't believe it is a halvsie thing it is a Japanese/Asian thing. My mother and my sister both turn red when they drink and I have seen other Japanese/Asians that turn red as well. It has to do with an enzyme deficiency and can also put you at risk for cancer if you drink a lot. There are articles on it, here is one, http://health.asiaone.com/Health/News/St...30747.html

my Japanese side turns me into a tomato even after one drink. But its my Russian side that lets me drink a lot!

i get red after the first drink or so...but it seems to go away if i keep drinking.. weird.
my (japanese) mum and aunt don't go red at all, but it's my ojiichan who goes bright tomato red even after a gulp of beer!

It does not happen to me at all, I can also drink a lot before I get drunk..
I have not been drunk in a very long time, 2005 I think.

The term most people around here use for that is "Asian glow." Unfortunately, I am a victim of the glow.

Haha, no worries. I think it was actually a combination of being hungover and just being plain old tired. Was quite a trip (not to mention really warm). Still, the fact that the bar was still going strong at, what... 3am? That was pretty impressive haha
