woah. how do you lose weight so fast?!

i got my license today and realised how much weight ive put on in the last month. blurrrrgh! going to the gym in a bit...

ya, something to consider tho is that it's been documented that some competitive athletes have lost up to 30 lbs in 24 hours by sweating out all their water weight and immediately after weigh-ins, gorging and rehydrating..not healthy, but yeah just goes to show how much weight can fluctuate with water and sodium.

Honestly, weight isn't so much important as your bodyfat percentage and overall fitness level, in my opinion. according to BMI (body mass index) most NFL players are considered "obese", when your average strong safety will be around 6'2 230lbs at like 8% bodyfat, lol. <img src='http://www.halvsie.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> So ya I wouldn't worry so much about the scale tells you.

I want to loose some weight, though everyone's been saying I look thin. I outgrew my size 3's that fit easily when I got to Hawaii. That's the strange part.

I think the people here are so BIG... that's part of the difference. I'm from 1 cup of rice a day land or in my case, 1 cookie a day.

I would be happy where I am If i could loose 5-7 lbs. ;-)

If you eat white rice, try switching to brown. It has a lower glycemic index and your body has to work harder to metabolize it, meaning your body will use more calories to break it down in your system. If you can stay away from sugar and white starches, that is a weight holder and weight adder, high glycemic index and contributes to cravings.

Thanks for the advice. I prefer Black/purple rice actually because I eat vegan/shojinyori style. It takes longer to prepare by a day, and has more nutritional content than my oatmeal for iron. ;-) yum.

You are welcome, oh black rice, it has more protein as well, great choice. I am a vegetarian but I am not vegan.

Instead of focusing on weight, people should focus more on measurements...

I'm actually much healthier when I'm heavier, usually its because i'm working out more, so i'm more lean
