have u ever thought of death?
#1
weird topic i know..its just that today I had the weirdest experience..

I was wearing one of my long scarfs... tied around my neck once... got on an elevator, got off..the suddenly...I felt someone pulling me really hard.."damn" I thought... "somebody is trying to rob me"...

wrong.. the stupid scarf got hooked on somewhere on the stupid elevator which started to move up and i found myself chocking. when i realized it was not a robber, i tried to untie myself once, got worst..then i thought hmmmm i think this is it. what an un hero-ish way to go...

but then i turned like a ballarina and untied myself... breath again, safe again..

so..u know how the say that when u think u r going to die you see your whole life as a movie?

well not. u dont.. I didnt! i saw 3-4 faces and was so sad i d never see them again =one was a halvsie..weird.. cause u r supposed to see your TRULY close people- and then the next picture was my credit card bill and house mortgage and WHO THE HELL WILL PAY IT ON MY ACCOUNT?! THOSE were my thoughts... well.. i shouldnt worry cause in case of accident or death i dont have to pay the fees <img src='http://www.halvsie.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

seriously.. i thought I d die. I am glad I didnt.. have a shore throat and cant speak very much and have a long cough but other than that..i m fine! too fine actually! i cant even make people feel sorry for me!!!

anyway... lets all be careful..stupid moments can cause ugly results... life, is too beautiful...actually..not life in general... some people..some relationships...

OMG Marietta, kiwotsuketekureyo!

I'm sorry you have a sore throat but glad you got off so lightly, jeez; what a tragedy THAT would have been.

sorry to hear about your mishap Marietta. that must have been scary.

glad you're alright.

strange that you thought about your mortage, I would have thought that when you die that's the kind of stuff you are free of. But you're prolly a more responsible person than I am. <img src='http://www.halvsie.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

What an awful way to go that would have been - reminds me of the movie The Incredibles and why their costume designer refused to give them a cape... Did anybody see it happen or were you alone?

Since I haven't had a near death experience in as long as I can remember, I can't relate to any "final thoughts" going through my head, but pretty sure my debts would not be one of them. Always assumed it would be flashbacks of my youth, but apparently that didn't happen to you.

Glad that you're still with us, maeku (well, I guess Marietta now). Without you these forums would probably cease to exist.

tehehehe.. i think the forum would survive without me..

nobody saw the moment but the guy who "took" the elevator , he saw the little piece of scarf on the door handle so when he came down to the ground floor he went out fast to see what happened..he helped with water and help me catch my breath and he offered to take me to the hospital but i was actually fine... i mean, really fine...

Damn, M....I too am happy to hear you're OK. Jeez, what a crappy thing to have happen to you. At least you were calm enough to figure out what to do and do it. And, no, the forum would miss you greatly. Stay safe, Maeku!!

I actually thought I was going to die once, waaaaay back a bunch of years. My friends and I were drinking a ton of alcohol down in Big Sur, when we ran out. Big Sur only sold wine and beer back then, so we figured it would be a great idea to head north to Carmel, about 25-30 miles up California's Highway One to buy some whiskey!! A very curvy and dangerous road with huge drop-offs up to 1,000+ ft on the ocean side and sheer rock walls on the inland side. (check Google Earth for an idea about the road)But hey, we were drunk, so our thinking was spot-on!!

Not really. We careened across the Bixby Creek bridge at about 70mph, where the speed limit was 35mph. Just as we passed the speed limit sign, the little Datsun pickup the three of us were in slammed into a huge rock wall, causing the truck to flip over on its top. The truck was sliding downhill toward a guard rail and all I could think was that we were all gonna get decapitated and then our bodies would fly over the 800-1,000ft cliff to the rocks below, minus our heads. The truck eventually followed a curve in the road AWAY from the guard rail and stopped. We all got out OK, only having received some cuts on our heads from the roof caving in, and glass cuts on our hands from climbing out of the vehicle when it stopped....I'm pretty sure I was thinking all sorts of stuff, but not sure if 'my life passed before my eyes' as it all seemed to be in slow motion. I really thought that was the end of my short(at the time)life!

Wow, I haven't thought about that incident for quite awhile! And again, Maeku, I'm so glad you got out of that 'noose'.

guys, wolf boy here

we can all indirectly prevent or cause our death by delaying or speeding up our daily movement and commute.

being late for work by 5 minutes or 5 minutes early maybe the deciding factor of you being in a deadly accident or not.

before i die, my last wish would be to go out on a romantic date with hatsune miku hologram.

This, only with my mom. I swear to god the woman is trying to drive with wind direction or something...she's always drifting around on completely straight roads.
